Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is a great way to experience the north woods. You can ride the wooded trails along the northeasern Minnesota's Gunflint Trail and through the Superior National Forest on guided trail rides -- soaking in the sights and sounds of the north country and seeing the woods and wildlife from a unique vantage point. Trails meander, climb and wind through some of the most scenic and unspoiled wilderness you can ever hope to find. (You can even arrange to bring your own horse.)
