The only resort on the lake, Loon Lake Lodge is one of the few remaining original log-constructed resorts on the Gunflint Trail. The eight cabins are the original log cabins, built in the late 1920s. Day trips into the BWCAW are popular here where meals, boat, and canoe rentals are available. The Border Route Trail is nearby for hiking, and when in season, the berries are plentiful for picking. In the winter, snowshoe, cross-country ski or snowmobile right outside your cabin door.
