You’ve come to the end of the road.
Fortunately, we have boats.
Every road up here ends at the Boundary Waters, and every resort, cabin or campground off the Gunflint Trail is on a lake. So getting around means getting around on the water. Your host can hook you up with:
- boats and motors
- canoes
- canoe outfitters
- pontoons
- kayaks
Public boat launch sites are numerous and your own boat is welcome, just check with your host about docking and motor size restrictions. The DNR has further information on lake survey reports, depth maps and pollution control information, as well as boating and water safety.
